Sophie Turner sues Joe Jonas: The Kids, The Drama, The UK Dreams

So, here's the tea: after dating for nearly three years and having a lit wedding in 2019, things have gone sideways between Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas. Court papers dropped this Thursday, and guess what? The *Game of Thrones* icon wants her kiddos, Willa (3) and lil’ D. (14 months), back in England.

Straight from the Manhattan court files, Turner's game plan is all about the "immediate return of children wrongfully removed or wrongfully retained." Sounds intense, right? The alleged drama started heating up around Sept. 20, according to Sophie's crew.

The backstory? During the 2022 festive vibes of Christmas, Sophie claims she and Joe were all in on calling England their "forever home." They even said bye to their Miami crib and were eyeing a cozy spot in the English countryside by April. Oh, and in the mix, Sophie was busy with her summer gig, the Joan mini-series.

Fast forward: Joe's touring with The Jonas Brothers. The deal? The kids chill with him since he's got more daytime hangouts to offer. Despite Sophie's "hesitation" on this "temporary arrangement," she rolled with it.

But then, plot twist! A major Aug. 15 fallout, and Joe's pulling the divorce card by Sept. 1. The kicker? Sophie got wind of their breakup status "from the media." Yikes. The Game of Thrones Actress had taken a chance on a relationship with Joe despite their height difference and his poor reputation with his exes, and now he does this! At least they both have a high net worth. 

Post-split, they tried sorting the kid situation. Turner was like, "Remember our England plan?" But Joe wasn't feeling it anymore. To spice things up, the papers clearly state, "The Father has possession of the children’s passports. He refuses to return the passports to the Mother and refuses to send the children home to England with the Mother."

On Sept. 19, Jonas's lawyer crew hinted to Team Turner that the passports were staying put, and the kiddos weren’t going anywhere.

Amidst all this, they did drop a joint Insta post: “Statement from the two of us: 'After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage.'” They wrapped up asking for privacy, especially for their kids.

My Hot Take? Sophie should have never agreed to sign a prenup that doesn’t adequately financially obligate Joe Jonas to her. No matter how much money she has. It was too easy for him to marry her young, get her to carry and deliver his children, orchestrate this whole fiasco and then divorce her while she was filming abroad- even though it’s rarer for men to file for divorce. Jeezy did the same to Jeannie Mai recently. But I digress! Joe had nothing at stake in divorcing Sophie except for the custody of their children, which is currently in his favor because they were born and have been raised so far in the US. The Jonas Brothers singer even went as far as smearing Sophie’s name in the media, talking about breaking up with her because of “something he saw on their Ring Camera”. Somebody say stalker!! I’m rooting for Sophie because her side of the story in the court filing rings true - let’s hope their agreement to move the kids to England is enough to reunite her with her babies. Fingers crossed. The lesson for all of us? stay away from selfish men who seek to use and dump women at their most vulnerable! Sophie did not deserve what Joe did to her in the aftermath of their separation, I hope the internet roasts him!
